This professional-grade Insulation Piercing Connector (Street Light Type) is specifically engineered for establishing high-integrity, low-capacity branch connections from low-voltage A.B.C. (Aerial Bundled Conductors) power systems to street light insulated conductors and public lighting grids. It delivers an optimized, watertight tap without requiring insulation stripping on either the main trunkline or the service wire, drastically minimizing installation overhead.

Features
Simultaneous Piercing Technology
Main and tap conductors are pierced simultaneously in a single, efficient tightening operation, drastically reducing field installation time.
High Dielectric Security
Offers outstanding electrical insulation, with an exceptional dielectric strength exceeding 6 kV when rigorously tested in water.
Potential-Free Design
The tightening screw is fully insulated and potential-free, ensuring maximum safety for linesmen during live-line operations.
Torque-Controlled Efficiency
Equipped with a precision shear head screw that snaps off when optimal tightening torque is achieved, ensuring a perfect electrical connection without damaging the conductor.
Implementation Instructions
Step 1: Tap Conductor Insertion
Insert the insulated service tap conductor into the connector barrel until its end is fully and securely seated inside the flexible end cap.
Step 2: Torque-Controlled Tightening
Place the connector onto the insulated main bundle conductor. Use a standard spanner to tighten the bolt until the shear head snaps off, indicating that the optimal contact pressure has been achieved.
Step 3: Dismantling Only
The remaining permanent hex screw head is engineered exclusively for potential dismantling or line removal. It must not be used to re-tighten the screw once the shear head has broken.
Step 4: Live-Line Safe Operation
Implementation can be safely carried out on live lines (hot-line operation), provided there is absolutely no electrical load on the service tap conductor during the installation process.
Industrial Engineering & Standards
Built to withstand extreme outdoor grid environments while maintaining peak electrical stability:
- Standard Compliance: The connector is fully compliant with the rigorous performance criteria of NF C 33-020 and EN 50483 industrial standards.
- Integrated Flexible End Cap: Features an interdependent, highly flexible end cap that provides clear tactile feedback upon tap conductor insertion. Designed to remain securely attached during handling and installation, eliminating the risk of loss due to wind or wildlife while maintaining strict water-tightness.
